PAX EAST 2011: Dragon Nest (Online) Preview

Hands on: JDL tries out Nexon's newest MMO offering at PAX East.
While talking to Nexon at PAX East, they showed me their new, scheduled for summer MMO, Dragon Nest. Featuring cute, chibi-esque graphics and four distinct classes (Warrior, Archer, Cleric and Sorceror with more classes planned for future updates) players can get an MMO experience with FPS controls and an over-the-shoulder 3rd person perspective for easier enemy and location recognition.
Players can change appearances and equipment via microtansaction, though some content can be unlocked in game. Dungeons and quests are quick, fun affairs involving both challenging enemies and difficult puzzles. In-game combat involves combos that make allow players to knock enemies off the ground, push them up against walls or into other hazards. Players can even team up for attacks (Chrono Trigger Triple Techs anyone?) or players can fight against each other thanks to PVP.
Dragon Nest will be available to play this summer.
