FIFA Soccer 08 (Wii) Preview

Lace up those cleats!
This fall, Electronic Arts will finally bring FIFA Soccer to the Nintendo Wii.
EA is looking to bring a whole new experience to FIFA fans with all sorts of motion control. As is the case with Madden, there will be a tutorial section called "Soccer Academy" that will teach you the different motion controls (over 30) available in the game.
As you'll see in the screenshots below, the game will take place from a top-down perspective as to allow players to have a better view of the field which makes motion control easier.
Along with the main game, there will be multiplayer mini-games where you can play with your self created Mii to try and unlock Ronaldhino and take on the champ. EA has also informed us that there will be an online mode using Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection.
We'll be keeping a close eye on this one and hope to get some hands-on time with FIFA 08 at this year's E3, so stay tuned!
