Product Review: Sumo Lounge Omni Bean Bag Chair
Posted by John De Large on 11.21.2009

Fact: Bean bags are awesome. They come in cool colors and cool shapes, you can get them at the toy store OR the furniture store, you get to put them where ever you want in your room and best of all, they feel GREAT to sit on while you max out and play games at the same time.

Unfortunately, another bean bag chair related fact is that bean bag chairs wear out fast and go flat even faster. On top of that, add the fact that bean bag chair material and can't be cleaned if you were to say, spill pizza or ice cream on it.

For most people, the positives are outweighed by the negatives here, so most gamers over the age of 12 don't have too much in the way of bean bag furniture....except for all those people who own Sumo Lounge bean bag chairs. Sumo Lounge makes sweet designer bean bag chairs for every kind of lounge lizard: gamers, techies, book-worms, even garden variety slackers. Sumo Lounge and their flagship chair - The Omni - will make all of your entertainment experiences exponentially enjoyable.

Measuring 4.5' x 5.5' and weighing in at 18 pounds, the Omni looks like a gigantic nylon pillow; even in rooms with the most avant-garde furniture, this is bound to stand out amongst everything else. However, its unique design lets you choose a variety of ways to sit down and stretch out, by turning it, fluffing it and setting it against different things in your room.

Now that you've heard about the Omni and you've looked at it I bet you're wondering if the Omni is comfy as it looks and sounds. Well, it's as comfy as it is large and unique. I've not only had the pleasure of playing Dissidia: Final Fantasy and watching Inglourious Basterds from my Omni, I've even fallen asleep on my mine (last night, in fact). When asked if I wanted to move to a bed, I actually refused! If the Omni had wheels and motor attached I'd probably never leave it. It's soft, but doesn't sink and manageable enough that you can fit it in any room and shape it into nearly any kind of seat you can imagine! I've been using the Omni for a week and change and from experience I can say that the more you use the Omni, the more it actually feels softer and comfier, all without losing its shape or getting flat. Simply fluff and re-use!

THE 411
Sitting on the Omni feels like sitting on a cloud made just for your body. The Omni is a virtually flawless product that always keeps you comfy. If you want to be more comfortable than you ever thought possible (like me), get this chair.

JDL lookin' mighty confy here!

I can honestly say this is the first time I've ever read a Bean Bag review.

How much do the damn things cost?

Sumo's Omni (what I'm using) cost $150. It's WELL worth it.
