Deep Labyrinth (DS) Review
Posted by Ramon Aranda on 09.11.2006

Innumerable monsters are waiting for you in the labyrinth. Let's go to look for an advanced door to the following labyrinth as the monster is knocked down. When you lose the way to go, open the map. Do not be puzzled by those that are visible. Can you solve the mystery?

Confused? Read on..

Graphics

Graphically this game looks pretty good. Using a high-speed drawing engine "T4G", the game renders some pretty impressive graphics.

Gameplay

Point blank, this is a dungeon-hack game. Remember those old PC based games that basically put the player in a dungeon and the point was to escape? Pretty much the same thing here. It's an RPG based game that requires some patience. While the game causes some claustraphobic gameplay, once you get passed the learning curve, it can become rather enjoyable. The game features some deep underground mazes with treasures, monsters and hidden passageways.

Sound

Not too impressive, though it has some pretty good tracks. In the long run however, simple audio won't knock your socks off.

Lasting Appeal

The game includes two story modes and level-ups for each spell and weapon, so this game definitely has some replay value. If you enjoy the game the first time around, then you'll want to stick around for the extras!

Fun Factor

Depending on whether dungeon-hack games are your cup of tea, this game will either be quite enjoyable or very tedious. I found myself enjoying this game as I tried to level-up as much as I could and finding those darned hidden pathways.

The 411

Again, depending on your personal tastes, this game will keep you glued to your DS or make you want to insert that copy of New Super Mario Bros. All in all I think this game deserves a chance to be played and if you have Gamefly or some other game rental service, you should definitely check it out.

Lasting Appeal7.0Great replay value as two story modes are included.
Fun Factor 6.0Fun for those into RPGs and Dungeon style games.
Overall6.6   [ Average ]  legend
