BEFORE WE BEGIN...
Hello! Welcome back to another zestful edition of the Hollywood 5 & 1! I'm Steve Gustafson, and this spot to be to get your fill of celebrity gossip. It saves you the embarrassment of looking at the magazines while checking out at the grocery store.

So I was luck enough to catch Paranormal Activity, the movie I've been hyping up for the last few weeks. You can catch me review here. Did it live up to the hype? Oh yes. I wish I had waited a day before writing it because I would have been even more enthusiastic about it! If you want to see come to a theater near you, you have to DEMAND IT! Once it hits 1 million, it goes wide release. Gotta love marketing!

I jumped over to the GAME section here at 411mania, and participated in their Top Super Nintendo Games. It was a blast to do and took me back.

Halloween is fast approaching! What are you going to be this year? Even better question...What is THIS couple going to be this year?

WHO SAID WHAT?
"I work so much. I have to get up at 6am every day so I don't really have time to go to clubs like I used to. I went out the other night and it was brutal, just cheesy people and annoying and I didn't have fun...Las Vegas is fun. We always have fun there."

So...is she having...fun? Paris Hilton claiming that her work schedule is so full that she no longer finds the time to go clubbing. We really must be in a recession if our favorite heiress has to work so hard.



Poor Paris.

Sorry guys. Miley Cyrus has deleted her Twitter page after posting a message apparently referencing Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, her The Last Song costar and rumored love interest. "FYI Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason," the singer Tweeted. So, her Twitter account is now gone, as is her mom's. Cyrus's sister Brandi and brother Trace are still Tweeting. But in her absence, fans have rallied, and #mileycomeback was at one point Twitter's top trending topic. Once they break up, will she return? Time will tell.

Alright, let's get to the actual Hollywood 5 & 1. I go through 5 things out of Hollywood this past week that made me scratch my head plus our "& 1" Model of the Week! Let's go!



Hollywood Supports Dave Letterman (And Office Romance)
David Letterman seems to be winning the war of public opinion. At least when it comes to the Hollywood crowd. Letterman knows who his friends are, and there are plenty of them. Here's what they have to say about Dave, the affairs, and the aftermath.

At Monday night's New York screening of the HBO documentary Good Hair, its star and co-director Chris Rock had nothing but the best to say about Letterman, blackmail scandal or no. "He's the greatest host in the world. I would never make a disparaging comment about David Letterman."

Talk-show host Wendy Williams said, "I like him even more. He did a disgusting thing. But I thought it was really great that he came out and told his own story. The real crime is the blackmail."

"I don't see anything wrong with it," said Sandra Denton, better known as Pepa of Salt-n-Pepa. "I might have been one of the girls. He's a man ... and he's kind of cute!"

Aasif Mandvi, of The Daily Show, said Letterman is handling the scandal in a courageous manner. "I think that Letterman is very brave. Kudos to him." Asked if Jon Stewart had a private bedroom on the set of The Daily Show, Modavi answered, "We don't need bedrooms."

Susie Essman, who plays Larry David's foil and best friend's tough-as-nails wife on Curb Your Enthusiasm, admitted she hadn't thought Letterman was a saint before, but she also that people should treat the matter like adults. "I wasn't like 'Oh, not Dave. It couldn't be!' He had a relationship with somebody. What's the big deal? He wasn't married. He wasn't cheating on his wife." But could this happen on the set of Curb Your Enthusiasm? "No, not on our show. We're too old for that stuff."

Ice T said he felt sorry for Letterman, and worse for his wife, Regina Lasko. "Welcome to the real world, David. I can't be mad at him, but I kind of feel sorry for him, because he can't hide. He has a job. He has to show up every day. He's not a rock star, he doesn't have an image like that. He can't say 'F--- it.' If he has to go through court, it's going to be rough. His wife, unfortunately, will have to weather this."

Al Roker stressed that Letterman was living with the consequences of his own actions. "That's a choice he made, and I hope everything works out."

What about you? Still supporting Dave? What about the reaction of fellow celeb's? And I echo what I said last week: How much longer will Letterman stick around before he's like, "Screw it. It's not worth it anymore. I've made plenty of money."?

Kardashian Rumble!
The Kardashian sister's have come into their own. Between a high profile marriage (Still no prenuptial agreement?), a high profile pregnancy (It's a boy!), a high profile sex tape (Ray J? Really?), and a couple of reality shows, they run the checklist of necessary acts to stay in the tabloid pages. And from the looks of things, they aren't going anywhere. So who's the top looker of the three? Khloe? Kim? Kourtney? YOU DECIDE!

Dr. Phil Makes House calls!
I've heard about some strange bedside manners, but this is ridiculous! Allegations have come out that Dr. Phil McGraw is on the receiving end of a bizarre lawsuit with a former female patient of his alleging that the TV doctor and select members of his production staff held her captive, brainwashed her and subjected her to constant exposure by a naked man, among other accusations. As if that weren't enough, she also claims that McGraw even once groped her during a therapy session. I might not be his biggest fan, but I find this a little hard to believe. But stranger things have happened, to be sure.

Catching up with Hefner!
This man just doesn't stop! Not only is Hugh Hefner about to launch another season of The Girls Next Door with his new girlfriends Crystal Harris and twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, but he recently met with Academy Award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody about coming on board to work on a feature film about his life. Nice! And now he tells telling that he's been approached about another television series! Nicer! NBC has expressed interest in a scripted show about "Bunnies and the Playboy Club in the early '60s," Hefner said when I recently visited him at his famed Holmby Hills mansion. "It could be cool," he said. "It's a natural. I'm sure it's going to happen. It's just a matter of time." And that's not all. Author Steve Watts apparently wants to adapt his Hefner biography, Mr. Playboy, for a television miniseries. "I've told him that until the feature is done, we can't do that," Hefner said. "They've also talked about a Broadway musical. All of it makes sense to me." In other words, the 83-year-old Hef has no plans to stop working anytime soon. "I think if you retire, then that's the beginning of the end," he said. "I think the show and my job for the magazine, it's what keeps me alive. I have no plans to retire. This is as happy a time as I've ever had in my entire life, and I've had some pretty happy times." he continued. "I could not be happier. I'm a very lucky fellow and I know that." And the new Girls are pretty lucky, too. Just ask the twins' grandmother. "I got the sweetest letter from their grandmother who raised them," Hefner said. "She said how happy she was that they're here and they're good girls and that this was going to be a good thing for them."

Seth Green has been in the news because of a video. Seems someone stole some personal property of his and he let his feelings known to those on set. Real or Fake?

AA: I think my Calendar! I love the fact that my fans can have me on there wall every single month. And my official website! It's the best way to have me in a very personal level. (Laughs)

SG: Excuse me, I have to cool down a second. What is your most treasured possession?

AA: My Hello Kitty Collection! I love it!

SG: Very sweet. What is your greatest extravagance?

AA: I love to buy LV bags!

SG: Very nice. What is the quality you most like in a man? A woman?

AA: I really love a hard working man! A man that loves his family! A woman...I love women that are delicate and sensual!

SG: Starting to heat up again. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

AA: Hum, Let's skip that question.

AA: "Do not live by motto's alone"!
