If I had to describe Ashley Mattingly in one word it would be...POSITIVE! From her pictorial in the March issue of Playboy to her interview, she's always looking on the bright side of things.
Now, I have to admit that I'm partial to Ashley since she's Miss March, which happens to be my birthday month. But after reading her interview I have a sneaky suspicion you'll be a big fan of hers as well.
Steve Gustafson: Hi Ashley! Thanks for taking time to answer some questions! Let's jump right into it! How did you first get involved with Playboy?
Ashley Mattingly: I got involved with Playboy after I did a photo shoot with photographer Josh Ryan. I asked him to submit my pictures and then I received a call two weeks later saying that I had become Miss March 2011.
Steve Gustafson: Wow! That sounds so simple! How was the photoshoot for Miss March?
Ashley Mattingly: It was an amazing, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that only 12 girls a year get to experience. I feel very fortunate that I was named one of them.
Steve Gustafson: Well, you certainly were deserving of the honor. How has your life changed, if at all, since your issue has hit the stands?
Ashley Mattingly: Not much has changed, besides becoming a little more busy which is good because I always like to stay busy.
Steve Gustafson: Cool. You're so positive in your interviews and on social media! Where does that come from?
Ashley Mattingly: Thank you! I don't know, I guess it's just my personality.
Steve Gustafson: Hold on to that! When I read that your all-time favorite movie is Dudley Moore's Arthur I had to do a double take! What other movies do you enjoy?
Ashley Mattingly: I love all comedies, just movies that make me laugh in general.
Steve Gustafson: Nice safe answer! What about TV shows? What's on your "must see" list?
Ashley Mattingly: Gossip Girl, Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and Empire Board Walk.
Steve Gustafson: What! We have a lot in common! Very nice. OK, what's going on with your line of swimwear?
Ashley Mattingly: The swim line is called Femme Noir SWIMGERIE. It's basically lingerie but you can get it wet and lay out in the sun in. It's very sexy! We are shooting the line this Sunday so the website should have them for sale in about two weeks at www.swimgerie.com.
Steve Gustafson: Sorry, I had to take a moment to compose myself. I'll make sure to send everyone over to www.swimgerie.com to check it out! Switching gears, you're involved with both ASPCA and the Humane Society. What kind of work do you do for them and how can others help out?
Ashley Mattingly: I have adopted a new kitten named Bunny and I also pay $20 a month to support them in all their causes. If anyone is interested in getting involved, just call the hotline and donate some money or adopt an animal.
Steve Gustafson: Definitely. I'm a huge supporter of shelters. It's awesome you're involved. So what's next for you? What's 2011 going to bring for Ashley?
Ashley Mattingly: Well the swim line will most likely keep me busy and I hope to work as much as I can with Playboy. I also plan on beginning acting classes.
Steve Gustafson: Good luck on the acting classes. We'll be looking for you on the big screen! I'm sure your popularity is sizzling right now. What's the best way fans can keep in touch with you?
Ashley Mattingly: My twitter is @ashleymattingly and my Facebook is Ashley Mattingly.
Steve Gustafson: Cool cool. Thanks again and all the best to you!
Thanks again to Ashley for taking time to do the interview. Grab her issue!
