BEFORE WE BEGIN...
I'm Steve Gustafson and we're back for another week of celebrity gossip, hot women, and goofy fun. I read through all the tabloid magazines and gossip sites so you don't have to. I learned my lesson. I will never, EVER, mention politics again in this column. The emails from some of you were embarrassing in their ignorance.

ROAD TO AVN!
It's that time again! Yes, the 2nd Annual Road to the AVN! Where I'll be interviewing and spending time with all the top stars from the adult film industry! Alright, let's get to the actual Hollywood 5 & 1. I go through 5 things out of Hollywood this past week that made me scratch my head plus our "& 1" Model of the Week! Let's go!




Kardashian Plus!
Are you ready? Ready for more Kardashian madness, I mean? Yes, there is a growing group of angered pop culture consumers joining a boycott against the family, but E! has no plans to stop keeping up with the Kardashians! In fact, the cable network is looking to ramp up their offerings featuring the world's premiere reality family. Bonnie Hammer, the new cable entertainment chair of NBCUniversal, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about her vision for E!, promising more highbrow coverage from the network.

That, however, doesn't preclude new Kardashian series; while current iterations of the franchise may go by the wayside, she told THR that she's hoping for "two, three, even four new Kardashian [spinoffs]."

You read that right. So far, there have been four series featuring the first family of scripted reality: the flagship, Keeping Up With The Kardashians; travel series Kourtney & Kim Take New York, and Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami; and Khloé Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom's show, Khloé & Lamar. Got all that? There have also been various specials based on the family, including the now-maligned Kim's Fairytale Wedding, which featured the wedding of Kim and now estranged husband, Kris Humphries. As for potential future series, a new series featuring Kim's newly single life is probable, as is a series about Rob Kardashian, one of the family's younger brothers who just starred in the most recent season of Dancing With The Stars. In addition, a series about Kourtney Kardashian, who just announced that she is pregnant with her second child, is very conceivable. Another show, featuring the younger sisters Kylie and Kendall, could also be made.

Breaking Up is Hard to Do!
Awkward! Hollywood is a small town with limited places to see and be seen. It makes it easy to bump into friends, but it's also easy to run into a soon-to-be ex. It had to happen sooner or later for recently estranged couple, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, and it just turned out to be sooner. Us Weekly reports a fellow diner at a West Hollywood private members' club spotted Demi at a table with a male friend. According to the restaurant spy, about midway through her meal, the actress spotted Ashton, on the opposite side of the patio.

No drama though. The couple was nothing but civil, yet the encounter was "very awkward" nonetheless. Demi took the opportunity to approach the actor's table where he was sitting with four friends, the source told Us Weekly. "He gave her a hug, and they spoke for a few minutes," said the onlooker, adding it seemed like they were having a "polite" chat. Moore filed for divorce from Kutcher on Nov. 17, following months of rumors of a rocky marriage and accusations of Kutcher cheating with Sara Leal. Both parties seem to be moving on in their own ways. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Ashton returned to his hometown of Iowa City where he partied with some girls in local bars, while Demi has been spotted around town having quiet dinners with various "mystery men."

Things are bound to get juicy again. Stay tuned!

Lohan and the Bunny!
Show of hands if you're picking up this issue? As it turns out, you won't have to wait for Lindsay Lohan's Dec. 15, interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to get a sneak peek of her Playboy pics. The troubled starlet's "very classy" Playboy cover leaked online this past week and everyone has been talking about it ever since! The "actress" rocks a vintage-glam look and attempts to pay homage to Marilyn Monroe. I'll let you be the judge if she succeeds or not. She's seen straddling a bunny-shaped chair that strategically covers her private parts. A publicist for the magazine announced that Lindsay would only be doing one interview to promote her pictorial.

Sorry. I didn't get that interview for you all.

Yes, the pictures are out all over but you won't find them here. I love the people at Playboy and won't support illegally gained photos! That and I don't want to get sued!

Cruise Control!
Poppy cock I say! He would never do this! Representatives for Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures vehemently rejected published reports that residents of Mumbai were paid to cheer and act excited for the cameras when the actor arrived in the Indian city on Saturday to promote his new movie. "Tom Cruise is a massive star and attracts huge throngs of fans as he travels the world promoting Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol," a spokesperson for Paramount said in a statement to The Huffington Post. "The only people paid were performers who danced outside the venue. The idea that fans were paid to cheer is completely ludicrous and entirely false." A report in First Post Bollywood claimed that 200 or more extras were each given about 150 rupees, the equivalent of $3, and a free lunch to mimic enthusiasm for Cruise's arrival in the city.

Cheap labor.

A source close to Cruise told The Huffington Post that confusion over payments made to dancers who performed at the event may have given rise to the false reports. The source called the charge of fan-planting "ludicrous" and "insulting" to the actor's Indian devotees, who greeted him for photos at every opportunity. "Tom kaun? [Tom who?] I don't know who he is or what he does," an unnamed "artiste" told First Post Bollywood. "We were told to come here by 1pm today and wait for a foreign VIP to come out of the airport gate and scream and shout when he came. None of us know who Tom is. There was a buffet lunch also for us and we were paid Rs 150 for this job today. We do this for television shows and other such events where crowds are required."

I would ask if this guy lived under a rock but chances are he does. The Mumbai Mirror reported that Wizcraft, the company that organized Cruise's trip to the country, had hired an outside agency to procure the fans to cheer at the airport. Wizcraft denied the claim, with one of the company's directors telling the Mirror, "We are not aware of this. Your information is incorrect." Anil Kapoor, an Indian actor who co-stars alongside Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, and Simon Pegg in the film, released a statement saying, "Tom Cruise coming to my country for Mission Impossible was an incredible event for the people of Mumbai. I've never seen that level of pure enthusiasm."

Shoddy journalism won't stop Cruise!



You can't fake that kind of excitement! Not for $3 anyways.
