I'm Steve Gustafson and we're back for another week of celebrity gossip, hot women, and goofy fun. I read through all the tabloid magazines and gossip sites so you don't have to. Even on Christmas Eve!

Usually I don't mess around with the Wrestling section outside an occasional Fact or Fiction but I have the opportunity to interview former WWE superstar and current adult film start Chyna this past week and I took! Is she an escort? You'll have to read the interview to find out!

I also spoke to Playboy Playmate Miss January 2012 Heather Knox! Awesome gal and a lot of fun!


ROAD TO AVN!
When it comes to pioneers in the adult film industry you won't find a bigger name than Steven Hirsch. The Vivid founder will be receiving special recognition this year in a brand-new category, the AVN Visionary Award, honoring him for his singular achievement in bringing adult into the mainstream sphere.

I can think of no one more deserving than Mr. Hirsch. Hirsch founded Vivid 27 years ago with a partner, and released its first movie, Ginger, starring the studio's first contract girl, Ginger Lynn, in 1984. Since then, not only has the studio changed the way movies were shot, but also changed the way they were marketed, packaged, and sold. Hirsch's and Vivid's list of "firsts" and innovative business applications for adult is long, but a few of the company's most "ahead of the curve" accomplishments include the first wave of branded contract girl superstars; creating a new style of box covers; being featured on two reality shows on Showtime; being the first adult company have a billboard on Sunset Boulevard; becoming the first adult production company to own a hardcore cable network bringing XXX content to people's TVs; the first to hire a mainstream publicist to court press; ushered the celebrity sex tape into the spotlight with Pam & Tommy Lee: Hardcore and Uncensored; one of the first adult companies to produce DVDs; and many more.

So it was a pleasure and an honor to interview the man himself.

Steve Gustafson: Mr. Hirsch, thanks again for taking a little time to answer some questions! Let's get right into it. What was your first reaction when you heard that you would be receiving the first-ever Visionary Award at the 2012 AVN Awards?

Steven Hirsch: I was very excited to hear about the award, not only for me personally but for the entire company. It takes a team to build a solid company and everyone here deserves the credit.

Steve Gustafson: Absolutely. Now, when you started Vivid over 27 years ago did you ever think you'd be where you are today, in your wildest expectations?

Steven Hirsch: When we started I felt like we had a plan to differentiate ourselves from the pack. Although the industry and technology have changed, our mission hasn't. We believe in top notch execution and I think we have accomplished that.

Steve Gustafson: I don't think you'd find anyone who could disagree with that. You've earned the reputation as being an innovator, looking back, what is your most proudest accomplishment inside the industry?

Steven Hirsch: There are so many things that I am proud that Vivid has accomplished . On the content side creating the Vivid Girl concept as well as producing high quality movies has always been important. Its sometimes difficult to reinvent yourself but things like celebrity sex tapes as well as Vivid Ed ,Vivid Alt and our SuperXXXHeroes/parodies have allowed us to do so. On the technology side being at the forefront of both DVD and the internet boom has helped keep us at the top of our game.

Steve Gustafson: Mainstream audiences have come to see you as the executive of the industry; crossing over with celebrity videos and sex tapes. Has that changed how you conduct business? Are you more "aware" of how the "mainstream" perceives you?

Steven Hirsch: Media coverage over the years has been strong and positive. As we've become more well known and media attention has increased I think it's important that we continue to position ourselves as responsible leaders.

Steve Gustafson: Vivid has done that. What's the biggest challenge the industry is currently facing in your opinion?

Steven Hirsch So many issues facing the industry. Free porn on the internet and piracy are what we deal with daily. Figuring out how the business model has to change based on the current climate is the biggest challenge the industry faces. We feel that because we have established brand equity that we will come out the other end stronger.

Steve Gustafson: Very valid. From my point of view, Vivid brand has been able to survive because of the innovations and the awareness of issues like piracy. What does the future hold for you and for Vivid?

Steven Hirsch: We are always excited about the future. As we get ready to launch our Vivid Everywhere initiative I feel the sky is the limit. IPTV is also interesting as is shooting movies in 3D. So much to look forward to.

Steve Gustafson: Amazing. I know you're busy so thanks again for your time and all the best! Congratulations again and see you at AVN!

Kate Upton was ONE win away from entering the Hall of Bang. All she had to do was beat out Sophie Howard and she was in.

But it was not to be. While Kate had an early lead, Sophie's fans showed up and helped her tie and take the lead. But Kate wasn't done and with support, tied it again. Both finished with 33 votes.

Meanwhile, Monica Bellucci ran away with her VS. against Jodie Gasson, 35 votes to 19. In the second match Emily Scott made short work of Catrinel Menghia, 34 votes to 13.

So here's what we're going to do. This week we're having 4-way dance! Kate, Sophie, Monica, and Emily. If Kate wins, she's in the Hall. AND the lady coming in second will take on the winner of the runner-up meet below! A bit of a change up but after the "Hall Committee" met, we all agreed to test the waters. If Kate loses, then she's out. Things proceed as normal.

Will Kate be able to overcome these insurmountable odds? Will Sophie be able to draw strong a second week in a row? Will Monica prove to be too hot to beat? Will newcomer Emily be the dark horse? Lots of questions on this holiday weekend! THIS ONE IS PACKED! It's all up to YOU!

MYSTERY RACK!

Originally I was going to post a video from a holiday party that I attended this past weekend. But after careful consideration I felt I couldn't subject you to that.

Alright, let's get to the actual Hollywood 5 & 1. I go through 5 things out of Hollywood this past week that made me scratch my head plus our "& 1" Model of the Week! Let's go!




Kardashian Labor!
Nothing takes away attention from a problem quicker than family drama! The Kardashian family is preparing for war as they set out to unleash a legal attack on everyone who claimed their clothing line is manufactured in child slave labor sweat shops in China! TMZ spoke to "sources" close to the family that said Kris Jenner is furious! She's claiming the guy who runs the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights had no right to accuse the Kardashian brands of wrongdoing because he has no tangible proof to back up his claims.

Kris most likely is referring to the TMZ Live where I.G.L.H.R. head Charles Kernaghan admitted he didn't actually go to the factories in question and is making the assumption based on years of research on the Chinese manufacturing industry.

Kind of weak Charles.

Jenner also believes Star Magazine's cover, which touted "Kardashian Sweatshop Scandal", was not only unfair but libelous! Uh oh. She believes it should have to pay for any damage that has been caused to the brand's reputation. TMZ previously reported, Kris, along with one of their manufacturing companies, adamantly deny the use of child slave labor in their factories.

As you know the only child labor they use are Kylie & Kendall.



Lawsuit!


Holiday Romance!
This story is really just a set up. Blake Lively was in Vancouver with her man Ryan Reynolds, whose parents and brothers live in the area. Nothing like a "meet the parents" moment over the holidays! During their Canadian visit, the two were spotted at the Original Cupcake Shop, where they picked up a small cake and several cupcakes. "They seemed like a really sweet couple," an employee remarked to reporters. The two, who have been spotted getting cozy in New York and in Boston, also stepped out for breakfast at Benny's Bagels, followed by a shopping trip along West Fourth Avenue. The actress scoped out the clothes at Gravity Pope, and she would ask Reynolds's opinions about her wardrobe choices. Says an in-store stylist: "[They were] super nice to work with...You can just tell they were together and very happy."

That's all very nice and good but the set up is: Which one would you go for?

Oh, the problems of being Ryan Reynolds.

I Love Myself: The Bombshell Story.
Just the other day I was wondering what Michelle Bombshell was up to! Well, looks like the tatted Bombshell loves herself so much that she hooked up with her "adult film star" counterpart in her sex tape! Yes, TMZ reported that Michelle and an adult performer who looks a lot like her that she played Bombshell in the adult spoof. Her name's Emily Parker and last year, she starred alongside a Jesse James look-a-like in the Hustler porn parody Untrue Hollywood Stories: Jesse James which poked fun at Bombshell's affair with the famous mechanic. Sources close to Emily told TMZ that Parker reached out to Bombshell on Twitter around the time of production, explaining she'd be portraying Bombshell in the skin flick. And the two have been close ever since.

Yes, this belongs in the Music section but it's too funny to pass up. This is for all you out there who have trouble sleeping at night because you can't get that one last Hall & Oates song to lull you to sleep!
