Chanel Preston stopped by for an interview this week! Chanel will be co-hosting the 31st annual AVN awards show, alongside Samantha Saint, at The Joint in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Chanel was featured in CNBC's "Dirty Dozen" list in 2012 and 2013, an annual ranking of the porn industry's most popular performers. She is the host and face of "Inside Adult," X3Sixty's cable entertainment program, dubbed the "Entertainment Tonight" of the adult industry. Now in its second season, "Inside Adult" broadcasts to over 20 million homes via On-Demand networks. Chanel's official website provides an intimate and interactive look at the adult superstar.

Recently, she's launched an Indiegogo.com campaign to help fund her sex-positive website and webisode series, "Naked With Chanel." The site will give men and women a platform to discuss and learn about sex in a fun and comfortable way. She was kind enough to answer some questions about her latest project.

 photo Chanel-1_zpsf2c4d808.jpg

Steve: Hi Chanel! Thanks for taking a few minutes to talk about your new project! First though, You'll be co-hosting the 31st annual AVN Awards Show in January! What's that feel like? What kind of preparation are you going through to get ready?

Chanel Preston: Right now I've been looking for my dresses I'll be wearing at the awards, but other than that, I'm just anticipating the event. I'm very excited for this year.

Steve: For nearly three decades, the AVN Awards show, dubbed "the Oscars of adult" by Entertainment Weekly, has been the adult industry's biggest night and the award itself, the industry's highest honor. With a stylish red carpet pre-show and lavish star-studded ceremony, AVN celebrates outstanding achievements in "the business of pleasure." I should note that Chanel has received an impressive 9 nominations for the 2014 AVN Awards! In addition to a Female Performer of the Year nomination, the Penthouse Pet has garnered eight performance nods. To learn more, check out the total list of nominations, or buy tickets, head over to www.AVNAwards.com!

OK, let's talk about "Naked With Chanel", a sex-positive website and webisode series. What inspired you to start this?

Chanel Preston: I've always had an idea I would go in this direction, but I didn't start really developing "Naked With Chanel" until last May. I have always been interested in changing people's minds about sex, and this is the next step for me to do that. Plus, it'll give me an opportunity to engage a lot, not just with fans, but anyone that is curious about sexuality. I also wanted the site to be different then what is already out there. Each webisode will address issues surrounding sexuality, sort of in a social commentary kind of way, and put it into a different perspective for viewers. It will be done in a very fun and entertaining way, of course. I want viewers to shed all the negative attitudes they may associate with sex and help them understand themselves as sexual beings better.

Steve: That sounds awesome! What's the goal for the website and series? Where would you like to see it 5 years from now?

Chanel Preston: I hope this project opens doors for me to start reaching out to others on a variety of platforms, whether it be through books or public speaking. I want this project to help me develop my new brand outside of porn. As far as where I see it in 5 years, I'm not sure. I see it really working out in a huge way, but I'm not sure how yet. I guess we'll see! Until then I'm going to really enjoy created my little grassroots following towards understanding sexuality better.

Steve: This is something I'm a huge supporter of and can see those types of doors and opportunities for you. What do you think is the biggest obstacle that stops people from openly discussing sexuality in America?

Chanel Preston: I think the biggest obstacles are the stigmas surrounding sexuality. Because of this we aren't given the opportunity to learn adequately about it, and we end up mostly being self taught. This can be very harmful because sex can have repercussions. However, it can also be very enjoyable and a fun and insightful way to understand yourself better.

Steve: Don't get me started on the the harm ignorant people create about sex and attitudes. To you, what is the biggest misconception about sex that people carry around?

Chanel Preston: The biggest misconception is that sexuality is just the physical act of sex. However, it encompasses so much more of who we are! It has to do with how we connect or relate to people and how we view those around us as well as ourselves. If we are constantly influenced to feel like sex is bad or uncomfortable then that is how we will ultimately feel about ourselves because sex is a big part of who we are.

Steve: Gotcha. What type of reaction have you been getting from people about "Naked With Chanel"?

Chanel Preston: I've been getting great responses. I think people feel we need something like this, and I think now is a better time than ever! I think people are ready to cross some boundaries and start breaking free of this sexual repression that America has been holding onto for so long.

Steve: Very, very cool! Thanks again Chanel and all the best with this!

Box Office Survey!
Instead of me just repeating what you can see, how about we ask some questions about the weekend box office? Answer in the comments!

* Was Out of the Furnace marketed wrong?

* Will Homefront make a profit?

This week we look at Wonder Woman casting. Yes, Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman. Zack Snyder made the following comments on the casting. "Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character."

The backlash over the casting has been pretty intense. Just as the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman has been battled back and forth, people are rushing the gates over this one.

My question:

Casting of the Week!
In an interview with Collider, Bradley Cooper spoke about providing the voice of Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. He said: "Well, I like James a lot and it really was about him and then talking to him about the guy. I wasn't familiar with the comic at all and then I really loved it, and I love that character. He's incredible that character. You know, one thing we debated was he's seen as a cockney accent sometimes. So we talked about whether we'd do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit."

When asked if the final voice has been found yet, he added: "Yeah, we're in the middle of it." Finally, he also revealed his thoughts on the footage he's seen from the film. He said: "Chris Pratt is unbelievable and Zoe is great, she's always great. Chris Pratt just blew me away. I thought he's just like the perfect guy."

The film will be released on August 1, 2014. It stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Honsou, Gregg Henry, Glenn Close and John C. Reilly.

Michael Bay posted the following blog entry on his website, defending his work on the Transformers movies:

It is a drag talking to reporters on sets. Why? Because often times they take your words and skew things to their liking. Then the crazy, lazy game of reporting on what other writers story's reported me saying and suddenly it becomes skewed Internet truth. So I waste my time to restate exactly what I did say, again.

No I did not ‘apologize' for any Transformers movies. I did not say I shot the last three movies "less cool" than the new fourth installment. I was talking specifically about camera style and tone, of the first movie compared to how I shot the new installment with a very big scale, cinematic style. I was very specific in saying the first Transformers was shot in a ‘generic suburbia' area, not trying to be cool with any cinematic flashes. I wanted it to feel like this could happen in any backyard in the United States.

So that brings me to letting Transformers fans know that we have completed our five and half month shoot. We got back from a month long shoot in China. My crew and I had a fantastic time shooting in Hong Kong and Mainland China. It was an amazing experience, and I love the country. My cast was absolutely fantastic, and a very fun group to work with. We are working hard cutting the movie right now. I think the first piece comes out for the Super Bowl and a teaser right after that.

And yes, I'm very excited about this new movie.

X-Men Roundup!
The next X-Men movie has been officially announced! With X-Men: Days of Future Past having finished production, Bryan Singer took to Twitter to announce that the next, X-Men: Apocalypse, will be released in 2016. The film will be released more specifically on May 27th of that year. Of course the title suggests that the villain will be none other than Apocalypse himself.

In related X-Men news, while it was previously announced that a third solo Wolverine film was in development 20th Century Fox, it appears that Hugh Jackman is having doubts about returning as the title character. "I don't know whether or not I will do this next movie. I am really proud of (The Wolverine) and I am excited to develop something with Jim Mangold from the beginning because that is a great ride. That's exciting, to see what we come up with but I have a very high expectation of what it would need to be [for me to star in it] and if it doesn't reach those, I won't be doing it." Jackman noted that there is no writer hired, and no script for the film at this time.

Next, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ian McKellen revealed that he doesn't always understand the plot of the X-Men movies he stars in, including the most recent, X-Men: Days of Future Past. He said: "I don't always understand the plots of these films until I actually see them with an audience. It's all about going into the past, basically. And so I don't get to go into the past. I don't think I'm spoiling it by saying that. But we are there in the beginning when the plot is hatched." He assured them that Magneto is in "very safe hands" with Michael Fassbender, who plays the younger version. He also compared Magneto to Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchises. He added: "The odd thing about a Gandlaf is that he's good through and through. Magneto is a bit of both. He's well-intentioned, but he perhaps politically is not very sound, and I'm not sure that I quite agree with his tactics."

Lastly, Fox is getting into the cinematic universe game with X-Men and Fantastic Four. THR reports that the studio has signed a three-year deal with Simon Kinsberg through his Genre Films production shingle to develop "Marvel-style" movie universes for those franchises. Kinsberg is the writer and producer for both X-Men: Days of Future Past and the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Kinsberg told THR, "I have a lot of ideas on how to built those brands and do what everybody is thinking of these days: Be like Marvel. I want to be able to build stories over multiple movies." Fox owns the rights to both of those franchises from before the days when Marvel was producing their own films.

Ron Burgundy!
Ron Burgundy is giving the hard sell! He's dangerously close to causing a backlash, as he's appearing everywhere. Paramount Pictures has released the first clip for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. In the sequel, Ron Burgundy returns and goes along with his wife Veronica Corningstone, weather man Brick Tamland, man on the street Brian Fantana, and sports anchor Champ Kind join the first ever 24-hour news network.

Super Villains!
According to Batman on Film, the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film may feature two villains. Batman-news.com notes that Batman on Film often releases small news items/rumors on Facebook, and that the latest rumor is that there will be two villains in Batman vs. Superman, and both of them will be from the Superman universe. While nothing has been confirmed, the rumored villains at this time are Lex Luthor (who has been previously rumored) and Metallo.

According to the DC Wiki, here is the description of Metallo:

Metallo is a radioactive cyborg intelligence who depends on Green Kryptonite as his energy source, making him an enemy of Superman. This deadly radiation can kill the man of steel through exposure alone, although his cybernetic enhancements make him very physically powerful. He is a former soldier who was used in experimentation by the United States Army, eventually giving him the ability to project his consciousness into any technological device. His powers also include the ability to morph the machinery in his body accordingly. Metallo was created by Robert Bernstein and Al Plastino, first appearing in Action Comics #252. (1959)

Will this movie have too much going on?

Fast & Furious Status!
TMZ recently spoke with James Wan at LAX about the production hiatus for Fast & Furious 7 due to Paul Walker's death. Wan said that there are no plans to cancel the film and the cast is currently "very sad" and "somber".

There is still no word on how the movie will be finished. Speculation seems to suggest that either Walker's character will be written out after using the footage he's already filmed or that the film will be rewritten entirely.

Trailer Talk
Sony Pictures has released the teaser trailer for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The film will arrive on May 2, 2014. It stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti and Sally Field.

Here's a synopsis: We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.
