A WORD FROM STEVE...
Welcome back! How was your week? We're back for another week of hot women, the biggest Hollywood news, and some celebrity gossip! For some additional reading you can check out my Comics 411. Or you can check out my Big Screen Bulletin for more movie related news and thoughts! Last week I interviewed Playboy's Miss November, Gemma Lee Farrell!
OK, who's greeting us this week? None other than Bonnie Rotten! Fans of the adult film industry will know that Bonnie walked away with the Female Performer of the Year Award at AVN this year. For those keeping score, she also won XCritic's Female Performer of the Year award. You might say she's a big deal in the adult film world.
Last week Sarah Shahi and Bar Paly went at it. The results:
Sarah Shahi 73.23%
Bar Paly 26.77%
Another spanking in the competition! Bar didn't give Sarah much difficulty, although don't be surprised to see her again soon. This week is a good mix. In one corner we have Aubrey O'Day. A poster child for plastic surgery and using Instagram to keep herself in the spotlight. In the other corner is "plus size" model, Robyn Lawley. How she's considered "plus" is crazy. Go for it!
Aubrey O'Day VS Robyn Lawley
PIC OF THE WEEK!
If you've been reading 5 & 1 for a while, you'll know that we're big fans of Chanel Preston here. In fact, we were the first mainstream media outlet to predict huge success for her years ago when she first burst on the scene. This former Penthouse Pet has made more than 200 adult films since entering the XXX-rated movie industry in 2010. A year later, she was voted New Starlet of the Year, and two years ago she presented the trophies at the 2012 AVN Awards.
Last year Chanel introduced the red carpet parade and this year she co-hosted the 31st annual porn awards alongside Samantha Saint.
And she does it all with style!
WHAT THE HELL? Star Wars: Episode VII rumors continue to infiltrate the galaxy, and Carrie Fisher threw gas on the fire. During an interview with TV Guide about upcoming appearances on Legit and The Big Bang Theory, Fisher said she's set to use the force again in March or April. So are her co-stars Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.
"I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again -- but with white hair," she told TV Guide. "I think that would be funny."
It has been rumored that Fisher, Hamill and Ford will reprise their roles as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, respectively, for the new J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars movie, but their involvement has not been confirmed. Recent reports suggest the likelihood of Episode VII centering on the trio instead of their offspring; in the wake of writer Michael Arndt handing script duties over to Abrams. The latest rumors indicate Episode VIII and Episode IX will zero in on the trio's children instead.
Abrams has said that the movie will begin shooting in May. "That's the current plan," the director said this past weekend at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "We have our script and we're full steam ahead."
Hamill wasn't as direct during a Reddit AMA on Wednesday. When asked to respond to Fisher's statement, the actor said, "The only character I know for sure is returning is my friend R2-D2. He hasn't stopped beeping about it."
Similarly, Ford isn't giving up the details either. During a November appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, the actor emphasized that he was "only in three" Star Wars movies. When Letterman pressed him about whether he didn't want to do another one, Ford said, "Well, for a long time they didn't ask me. So, imagine how I feel."
This has now become the LEAST surprising rumor in the history of cinema.

There is still a lot of controversy surrounding the apparent casting of Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm in Josh Trank's upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. I won't go into here but I don't have a problem with it.
Expect the fury to rise in the fandom again as a new RUMORED plot has spread across the web. It says:
"The Fantastic Four' will tell the story of two very young friends, Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. After an event transforms the boys, they find themselves empowered with bizarre new abilities. Reed becomes a scientific genius who can stretch, twist and re-shape his body to inhuman proportions. Ben becomes a monstrous, craggy humanoid with orange, rock-like skin and super strength. However, the two end up being owned by the government and used as weapons. But after they mature, two others with powers come into the picture – Sue Storm "The Invisible Girl" and Johnny Storm "The Human Torch."
The report claim that only Johnny Storm has been cast and all other roles are up for grabs. They also say that production on the film is supposed to begin in just a few weeks, more specifically, February 10th. The film will be shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
BUT WAIT! Trank took to Twitter to deny that the description is the synopsis for his movie. Feel better? Not so fast. Trank last took to Twitter to deny that Miles Teller was in consideration for a role. That report has since been confirmed by multiple sources so we have to wonder if Trank is being honest? Maybe he sees the backlash and will go back and tweak the script. You never know.
Is the Fantastic Four the least respected group in movies?
The Rest of Marvel's News...
Speaking to Fandango, actor Samuel L. Jackson revealed that his current deal with Marvel Studios to play Nick Fury is nearly up. Jackson had previously signed a nine-picture contract to play Nick Fury. Jackson stated: "I just know that the Marvel Universe is there, that there are things going on, and that I have three pictures left on my nine-picture deal. That's all I know."
Jackson has thus far appeared as Nick Fury in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, the Avengers, and will next appear as Fury in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He also appeared in the tie-in series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. His cameo on the TV show was reportedly not a part of his existing contract. His next appearance as Fury after The Winter Soldier will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Jackson added, "I've done six [Marvel movies], and I'm about to do [number] seven [Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron], so I'm running out of Marvel pictures -- unless they extend my contract." He says he's willing to do more if a new contract offer was made.
Speaking of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel Entertainment has confirmed that longtime Marvel Comics character Deathlok will be appearing on the show. Look for Deathlok on the upcoming February 4 episode of the show. The character will be the transformation of recurring character Mike Peterson (played by J. August Richards ).
Below is an official synopsis for the episode, per the Marvel press release:
Transformed into the cybernetic solider against his will, Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) must struggle to find the man in the machine. With a high-tech eye that allows him to see through walls, super strength and increased speed courtesy of a cybernetic leg, will Deathlok fight alongside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or against them?
Executive producer Jeffrey Bell said in the announcement: "We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson's story arc is an origin story. We're thrilled to have J. August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favorite Marvel character on the show." Richards added on getting to play the character, "If you would have asked when I was nine-years old what I wanted to be, I would have said a super hero and I'm so excited to be one now as an adult on TV! It's a dream come true."
Will he look as cool on TV?
What's Next for Tarantino?
The Wrap has details on Quentin Tarantino's next potential project with the recent halting of his Western project, The Hateful Eight. According to the report, the project could be a prison movie based off actor Robert Blake and the case of his alleged murder of his wife. The actor was acquitted of murdering his wife.
Per the report: "Tarantino has been considering a prison movie of sorts and has immersed himself in the details of the Robert Blake case, though a representative for Blake told The Wrap several weeks ago that Tarantino has not reached out to the former Baretta star, who was acquitted of killing his wife."
From a pretty cool Western to Blake. What do you think about this?
Will you read 'The Hateful Eight' when it comes out?
Oh, Shia! Shia LaBeouf has an explanation for his increasingly erratic behavior. He is an artist.
According to LaBeouf, the plagiarism, the apology via skywriter and the head-butt brawl can all be chalked up to a grand piece of performance art.
Yes, he's claiming all the world's a stage and we are all merely players, to paraphrase Shakespeare. On Saturday, LaBeouf posted two lengthy statements to Twitter, which have since been deleted.
"Performance art has been a way of appealing directly to a large public, as well as shocking audiences into reassessing their own notions of art and its relation to culture," the actor explained. "All art is either plagarisum [sic] or revolution & to be revolutionary in art today, is to be reactionary. In the midst of being embroiled in acts of intended plagiarism, the world caught me & I reacted. The show began. I became completely absorbed, oblivious to things around me."
LaBeouf, who stars in...You know what. I can't do this. I have plenty of patience for the usual Hollywood nonsense I cover but I draw the line here.
I've only banned ONE other person from these pages in the past. I did so by vote. I know bring out the vote again and place Shia on it. If Shia is banned, his name or picture will never, ever be seen in these pages again.
It's up to you.
What's the VIDEO BUZZ?
Here is a new TV spot for 300: Rise of an Empire. The film opens on March 7th, and stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, Rodrigo Santoro, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O'Connell and Andrew Tiernan.
Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel Xerxes and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster 300, this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles (Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. 300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Santoro), and Artemesia (Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
