PIC OF THE WEEK!
I like to check in on Aubrey O'Day from time to time.
Why not go for two and enjoy Chrissy Teigen as she is heating up the pages of GQ Mexico! Teigen appears topless on the cover of GQ Mexico's July 2014 issue wearing nothing but blue bikini briefs and a huge smile. "I think I inherited my personality from my mother, she's the happiest being in the world, I've never seen her in a bad mood," she told the magazine, "My bad side I must have got it from my dad." She shared her GQ Mexico cover on Instagram and made a joke about it, writing: "Hola!! Como se dice 'boobs' @GQmexico."
WHAT THE HELL? Gary Oldman appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his upcoming movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, but before doing that, he wanted to address his recent statements that have been capturing headlines. In an interview with Playboy, Oldman defended fellow actors Mel Gibson and Alec Baldwin on their controversial remarks about Jews and gays, going off on hypocrisy and political correctness. The statements caused a media firestorm, and a remorseful Oldman wanted to set the record straight:
"I don't condone or excuse the words I used in any context," Oldman told Kimmel. The actor went on to say that he was "profoundly sorry," adding, "I should be an example and an inspiration, and I'm an a-hole."
What do you think about Oldman's interview?

Comic Book Movie News!
Speaking to THR, 20th Century Fox President of Production Emma Watts talked about the next upcoming sequel to the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse, and the studio's planned reboot for the Fantastic Four franchise. Below are some highlights.
Watts on Fantastic Four: "We're making a big bet for 2015 with The Fantastic Four and director Josh Trank. To me, the key is the originality of the filmmakers and the choices they make. Josh is another really interesting example, who is using the vision he gave us in Chronicle to reinvent a franchise he's loved his whole life. It's not that you can't make original ideas — you can, and we did it with Chronicle. The director is the key to not letting superhero movies go stale. That's the truth."
Watts on if Fantastic Four will have found footage elements: "It's Josh, so it can't not have that feel. That's his talent, that's what he does, and that's what excites him about it. It is a really interesting young cast, and he is the magnet that's brought them all together."
Watts on if Singer will return for X-men: Apocalypse: "Right now we are totally at the outlining phase. But nothing would make me happier than if it all worked out. It's always been the intention for him to do it."
X-Men: Apocalypse is due out on May 22, 2016. The Fantastic Four is due out on July 19, 2015.
Switching over to Marvel Studios. They've released another featurette for Guardians of the Galaxy with interviews from all five main cast members and new footage. The film was written and directed by James Gunn. It will be released on August 1 and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Karen Gillan, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
Here's a synopsis: Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
Make yours Marvel?
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes!
20th Century Fox has released a new clip from Dawn of the Planet of Apes, which arrives on July 11. The film was directed by Matt Reeves and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo and Judy Greer.
Here's a synopsis: A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
In an interview with the Humans from Earth podcast, Star Trek 3 director Roberto Orci said that the next installment of the franchise will take place in deep space.
Sounds good to me.
Orci stated: "In [Into Darkness] they set out finally where the original series started," Orci said. "The first two films – especially the 2009 [Star Trek] – was an origin story. It was about them coming together. So they weren't the characters they were in the original series. They were growing into them and that continues on in the second movie. So in this movie they are closer than they are to the original series characters than you have ever seen. They have set off on their five-year mission. So their adventure is going to be in deep space."
Orci is co-writing the film with Patrick McKay and JD Payne. The new film is currently due out sometime in 2016.
You have high hopes for this?
Oh, Lindsay! Lindsay Lohan update! Haven't mentioned her in a couple of weeks and thought she was due. Seems Lohan has secured a new acting job. Good for her. TMZ reports that Lohan will be playing the role of the secretary in a London run of David Mamet'sSpeed-the-Plow. It is the same role that Madonna played during the play's original run in 1988.
It will be the first regular work Lohan has had since her OWN docu-series, and premieres in September.
Any bets on how long she'll last?
If anyone sees the show, please let me know.
What's the VIDEO BUZZ?
Netflix is launching its first original anime series on July 4: the futuristic Knights of Sidonia. The first season, already broadcasted in Japan, is 12 episodes of space opera epic drama that apparently is full of cool spaceships and mechas. Here's the synopsis:
The first Netflix original anime series, Knights of Sidonia, based on the popular manga series of the same name, follows Nagate, a low-born youth in a society of genetically engineered refugees who escaped the destruction of Earth one thousand years earlier and now occupy the massive ship Sidonia. When Nagate's talent as a pilot is revealed he becomes one of Sidonia's elite defenders against the Guana, shapeshifting aliens bent on eliminating humans from existence.
What do you think?
Also, Universal Pictures has released the first trailer from Dracula Untold, which arrives on October 17. Luke Evans plays Vlad, a man who makes a "dark bargain" to save his people and family with unfortunate consequences. The film is PG-13 and was directed by Gary Shore.
