The VICIOUS TV News Wrap 03.27.07
Posted by Steve Vicious on 03.27.2007

- Written in front of a not-so-live audience @ 411studios in California

Opening Segment - Introduction
Welcome to another edition of the TV News Wrap. Let's get straight to our top story, which once again involves Rosie O'Donnell's big mouth…

Top Story

  • The "Fat Witch" is at again
Yes, it looks Rosie O'Donnell is back in the news again. Who did she piss off this week? Well, the first would have to be CNN anchor Glen Beck. The other person is fellow "View" co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Let's get to Beck first. Beck was recently in the news for feuding with MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann over Olbermann's profile in Rolling Stone Magazine. But now it seems Glen Beck is after another far-left liberal in Rosie. Beck recently made a comment about Rosie being a "fat witch."

O'Donnell's beef with Elizabeth Hasselbeck stems from the March 20th edition of "The View" which saw the two co-hosts get visibly angry at one another over their guest's documentary on the Iraq prison known as Abu Grahrib. Hasselbeck was questioning the guest over whether or not torture should be used when O'Donnell rudely interrupted. O'Donnell then went on to tell Elizabeth not to "blather" and "editorialize" opinions on the show. Elizabeth got visibly angry. Later on, Elizabeth was talking again when Rosie made an annoyed face at the camera. Of course, there are several rumors running around in the business that Hasselbeck ends up crying after each political debate on "The View."

Thankfully Rosie O'Donnell has no idea what the fuck she is saying. She obviously gets her "facts" from certain blogs on the internet. Hell, Rosie made the news last week over one of her blogging posts in which she thinks the United States of America attacked itself on 9/11! Of course, O'Donnell is entitled to her own dumbass opinion, but she has clearly gone off the deep end of sanity. O'Donnell believes the Bush Administration wanted to protect the idiots over at Enron, so they allowed 9/11 to happen because some of Enron's records were in the WTC. I paid my first visit ever to Rosie's blog and she has a banner saying she wants to get rid of U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Rosie O'Donnell: Unfair and Unbalanced…

    Random TV News

  • Charlie Sheen's 9/11 Conspiracy
"Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen will narrate a 9/11 conspiracy "documentary" entitled "Loose Change." The documentary can already be viewed on YouTube, but Sheen will narrate the documentary when it gets distributed by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Sheen's crazy beliefs were going to be used by his former wife Denise Richards during their divorce, but it never happened. Anyway, I can't believe Sheen is the highest paid male TV actor right now.

  • Will "Prison Break" to get a subtitle?
There's a rumor going around on the net that states that the producers for the FOX show "Prison Break" is considering adding a subtitle to the show for season three. This would be a similar move to CBS' reality show "Survivor." That show now has the name of the current season's island in the title.

  • The Dukes of Hazzard are racists?
Yes, it looks like the Bo and Luke Duke are no longer good old boys from the South because a concert show based on the hit show was stopped due to what some people believe is racism. It's too easy for anyone to think two white boys from the South can be racists, but this is just shockingly annoying. I mean, it's not like they're standing up there and shouting the n-word like crazy. Where's Michael Richards when you need him?

  • Tori Spelling gets another comeback
I was just getting used to bragging about the death of Tori Spelling's TV career ("So noTORIous) when Spelling and her husband Dean have signed on to do a reality show that follows their daily lives. The show is titiled "Inn Love" and it should get canceled immediately so we can never see Tori on our television screens again.

  • Jenna Fischer goes all natural
Geeks rejoice! Jenna Fischer, who can be currently seen on the hit NBC sitcom "The Office" as Pam, will be appearing in a semi-nude cover for the internet magazine "The Wired." I haven't seen the cover yet, nor could I find it online, but when I get my hands on it you will see it here.

  • How I Met Your Mother axed?
There are some internet rumors floating around that CBS is considering canceling "How I Met Your Mother." It's not due to low ratings or any of the usual network bullshit, but it is reportedly because a top executive at CBS doesn't "get" the show. I highly doubt the show will be canceled, but like I have said a million times CBS can take any sitcom and stick it on Monday because it will be an automatic ratings hit.

    Viciously Ridiculous

It's now time for the most ridiculous items of the television world.

First up, William Shatner has been announced to introduce a Hall of Fame wrestler during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony this weekend. I guess the WWE is trying to get some minor mainstream attention for Wrestlemania, but it didn't work when Stallone inducted Hogan, so huzzah…

The NFL is suing YouTube over an NFL copyrighted clip being uploaded on the site. The clip in question is a warning from the NFL itself where they state you need written permission to air anything that belongs to them. So the warning is also copyrighted and now they're on the bandwagon to sue the hell out of YouTube.

And Anna Nicole Smith died over a drug overdose? Really, are you that shocked?

The Vicious TV Babe of the Week

    Name: Elizabeth Hasselbeck
    TV Appearances: Survivor, The View

For having to put up with Rosie O'Donnell's big mouth everyday, I nominate "The View" co-host I love the most, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, as your TV Babe of the Week.
