Hey, guess what? No Harry Potter news this time! MSN Denmark does have 20 new Two Towers pictures. See, Denmark is useful after all.
Ashish covered a lot of stuff in the newsboard. I'm here to fill you in on the news he missed or didn't have time to post because running a multi-dimensional Internet Empire is hard work and the man needs his sleep.
I also need my sleep. No, I don't run an Internet monster. I have been playing Vice City for about 36 hours straight.
IN TODAY'S REPORT

NEWS, RUMORS AND OPINIONS
The Amazing Spider-Man:
Scifi.com talked to Sam Raimi about his plans for the Spider-Man sequel: "I think my job, and what I'm eager to do, is really get inside the head of Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) and Aunt May (Rosemary Harris). I want to find out where we left them in the minds of the audience and find out what journey the audience was on and accurately determine what they would now want to see and what conflicts there may be next in the characters' lives and what the characters' next evolution as human beings would be. That's the most important part of Spider-Man for me: Peter Parker as a human being, watching him as somebody that I really identify with, as somebody who's got daily struggles [and] is wrestling with responsibility and personal desire. I want to tell a story where the audience can really relate to him on a deeper level than they did in the first one, maybe not [with] a diminishment of the action, but [with] a deeper exploration of Peter Parker as a human being."
Ice Age 2:
John Leguizamo recently talked to LatinoReview about the chances of doing another Ice Age movie. "Ice Age 2? It's coming up. Yup, were in talks right now. I mean it was a huge hit; it was an unexpected hit for FOX that it revived their animation Dept [Laughs]. Yeah they had nailed their window shut, locked it and now they had to get a crowbar and open it up again."
Wonderland:
Variety is reporting that Carrie Fischer, Ted Levine, Tim Blake Nelson, Eric Bogosian and Dylan McDermott have joined the cast of Wonderland, a film about porn star John Holmes' involvement in a quadruple homicide in Hollywood.
Monster:
Brittany Murphy and Kate Beckinsale are in talks to join the cast of Monster, a film about Aileen Wuornos, the nation's "first female serial-killer". Wuornos was executed last month so you kind of know how the story ends. Charlize Theron will play the part of Aileen Wuornos.

BOX-OFFICE RECAP
Here are the numbers for this weekend:
1. The Santa Clause 2: $29,000,000
2. The Ring: $18,500,000
3. I Spy: $14,000,000
4. jackass: the movie: $13,100,000
5. Ghost Ship: $ 6,570,000
The power of children makes Santa this weekend's champion.
The Ring has staying power and should eclipse the $100,000,000 mark in a month.
How overrated is Owen Wilson? Eddie Murphy's career is in the crapper. Well it's been in the crapper for a long time now. Right now, Murphy has to swallow his pride and accept a good supporting role in a smart comedy to put him back on the map. Hmm, when is the Shrek sequel coming out?
Jackass falls on flat on its ass after a good opening last week.
Looks like Ghost Ship scared away audiences for a second straight week.
