Michael Jackson likes to show off little boys over balconies. Pee-Wee Herman just likes little boys. David Arquette is one of Pee-Wee's closest friends. They sure knew how to pick their champions over at WCW.
Man, Pee-Wee can't catch a break...
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Another big legal adventure for Paul Reubens (news), a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman.
This time it has to do with child porn - and it's linked to the Jeffrey Jones case.
Reubens has been charged with a misdemeanor of having child porn. Detectives had searched his home and Jeffrey Jones' home a year ago. While Reubens faces that one misdemeanor count of having child porn, Jones is charged with a felony and a misdemeanor. That felony is for allegedly hiring a 14-year-old boy to pose for porn.
The differences in severity of punishment are clear. Reubens faces up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine. Jones faces as much as three years in prison, and he would have to register as a sex offender for life.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's office says both cases stem from the same police investigation and that the two are acquaintances. Jones is to be arraigned on Thursday. Reubens' arraignment is set for Dec. 19.
In 1991, Paul Reubens was arrested in a Florida movie theater for allegedly exposing himself. He pleaded no contest.
It's Friday which usually means a slow news day. Nothing but Quick Hits for today but I do have a bunch of them for you.
QUICK HITS
X-Men 2: The official website is now up. Pretty cool looking if you ask me. There are some new pictures on the site but I haven't found them yet. I'm too lazy to actually look and click through all those links on the big X.
The Good Shepherd: Leonardo DiCaprio has joined the cast of this Robert De Niro directed movie. ''Shepherd tells the story of James Wilson, a young man who is plucked out of Yale to be a spy and who becomes one of the creators of the CIA. The history of the agency is shown through the prism of his 40-year career. The character is said to be based on legendary CIA spymaster James Jesus Angleton." (Entertainment Weekly)
The Amazing Spider-Man: SuperheroHype.com reports that aussie actor Ingo Rademacher is being considered for one of the two villains (Lizard or Doc Ock) in the second Spider-Man movie. Robert De Niro and Bruce Campbell had previously been mentioned as Doc Ock and Lizard respectively. Rademacher currently plays a soap opera hunk in the U.S. I think he's on Guiding Light or All My Children but definitely NOT Passions because I watch passions and he's not on it (call it self mutilation). Man, Passions hasn't been the same since the midget died.
Hey, before criticizing WWE storylines, try to sit through one episode of Passions.
