MAD MAX Is BACK!
Posted by Nick Sellers on 12.10.2002

Mel Gibson has signed on to reprise his role as "Mad Max." The film, titled "Fury Road", is slated to begin filming next May with a budget of $104 Million.

George Miller, the man who directed and co-wrote the first three films of the franchise, is back as director and writer from a script that took him three years to put together.

Gibson is reportedly getting $25 Million for the film, which is the second largest payday in movie history right after Arnold Schwartzenegger for "Terminator 3" who is reportedly receiving $30 Million.

No plot details ave been released yet about "Fury Road" other than Max is still in the lawless, post-apocalyptic Australian outback.
