[Gossip] Will Smith Donated Big Bucks To Scientology Last Year
Posted by Ashish on 09.19.2009
For a guy who claims to not be a Scientologist, Will Smith sure does donate a lot of money to them...
Will Smith has denied several times that he is a Scientologist, but his 2008 tax filing shows that he donated $122,000 to Scientology groups.
Smith also recently replaced the headmaster of his Southern California private school, The New Village Leadership Academy, with a new headmaster who has completed Scientology courses in the past.

I think we all assume that DJ Jazzy Jeff is the new headmaster.

Wow I can't believe this is true.. Will Smith always comes across as sane and on the ball in his interviews... but you never know with these celebs there all a bit loopy.

Like Scientology is any more or less based on mythology, aliens from space and utter bullshit than other religions.

1 - it is what scientolgists do
2 - it isn't a donation, it a purchase of another step towards learning that Xenu rules us all
3 - scientology is a money hungry cult, and each 'course' costs more and more money...but it's ok if you can't afford it, you can just work it off for up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for no money in your pocket.

Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but hear me out...
...The Travlta gay rumors have been out there for years. As have the rumors that Scientology habors and protects closeted celebs and at the same time uses the gay thing as a way of controling said celebs.
The Jada/Will gay rumors have been out there recently.
Connection? I've seen less obvious "rumors" proven to be true...

That's not a donation. That's the application money. Wait until you see his actual tuition..

Scientologist. Christian. Muslim. All equally crazy.

Scientology isn't a religion. It's a pseudo-psychology service that cons people out of money while hurting them. Contributing money to Scientology hurts people. Shame on Will Smith.

This is rather old news, as he released his returns last Dec.
I'm not sure what to think. I want to believe him, when he says that he isn't one. But if he is one, I'd be more disappointed in him for lying about it. He played Muhammad Ali, who never denied his beliefs, even when he was in the Nation of Islam, which was much more controversial than COS is today.
On the other hand, he did voluntarily release his returns to the public, which he doesn't HAVE to do. So if he was really trying to hide his involvement, he wouldn't reveal this. It's possible that he just gave money because he thought they do good charity work, not because he wants to join them.
He also gave $450,000 to various Christian churches, & several thousand to an LA Mosque & Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Center in Israel. So take that for what it's worth.

JC in AZ if anyone does that, they'd be out- ethics and would be sent to the RPF because Scientology does not support homosexuality at all.

Scientology belongs at Comic-Con since it's pure science fiction. Xenu, ruler of the Galactic Confederacy, would be a huge hit right next to Wolverine and Bat Man.

Christian: The messiah was a carpenter who lived over 2000 years ago.
Jew: A voice said f### your menopaused wife and she will give birth. She did.
Twilight: Vampires sparkle.
Hindu/Greek/Norse/Egyptian: Hundreds of gods.
Scientology: The evil emperor Xeno inslaved the universe and killed them on earth, Xeno then had their souls brainwashed into believing a false history on the World years before it happened, the souls then found humans and attached themselves onto them causing all of humanity's emotions.
What makes more sense?

Kinda like the Vatican?

Please say it ain't so. Will Smith was one of the only bright spots in Hollywood. He didn't seem too crazy or out there, like most of the movie business weirdos.
Posted By: Carlton (Guest) on September 19, 2009 at 05:42 PM
God, those wacky Scientologists. Then again I've heard weirder stories of how it all came to being. Yeah, like the time my dad told me he created some little planet, true story, in seven days. Didn't really work out though from what I was told. So, he said he washed it all away. When I was little I would wonder what ever happened to it. Ah, the stories he used to tell. Anyway, it's really very important that we all know and agree with how Will Smith spends his money.
At least their NOT raping young boys.

Number of people known to have been killed in the name of "scientology"?

Religions get crazier and crazier. I mean, they gotta one up each other to keep up. Scientology is going up againts a talking snake, a man who lived inside a whale for 3 days and a woman who got pregnant without ever being penetrated.
Posted By: King Bladez the Second (Guest) on September 19, 2009 at 10:09 PM
I'm not a Scientology Office of Special Affairs agent patrolling the internet and making moral equivalency arguments to defend Scientology but it's no more crazy of a religion than any other. Who cares if the head of Scientology might be beating people right now, talking snakes from thousands of years ago are just as crazy.

Sorry guys, Scientology IS a whole lot stupider than other relgions. As are the followers.
Posted By: 3rth (Guest) on September 19, 2009 at 11:19 PM
EveryMan, you must either have been living in a box for the last few years, or be a scientologist. Come on: Body tethans, Xenu, all other religions are implants, this is a WIRD cult! No wonder Will Smith tries to deny he's in.

That is proof he is connected to them as a fool, who has received auditing and is looked upon by them as a member.
All members are pressured to donate as much of their wealth as they can grab.
