Departure of Disney chairman has Depp upset...
Johnny Depp has suddenly lost interest in doing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The change in heart seems to have to do with the departure of longtime Disney chairman Dick Cook, who left the company on Friday. Some outlets are reporting that Cook was fired, which may have something to do with Depp's displeasure with Disney since Depp was very close with Cook.
Depp told the LA Times that Cook stood by him when other Disney executives didn't like the idea of Depp's offbeat portrayal of Jack Sparrow in the Pirates films. He also described Cook as "the sweetest man on the planet and such a gent." Depp added that while he has a deal in place for the next Pirates flick, it will depend heavily on the script now because his enthusiasm has dropped due to the Cook situation.
"There's a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment. It was all born in (Cook's) office."
They can't do the movies without Depp. They better rehire Cook real soon!

Really? You heard his accent through printed words?? Oh wait you mean you're assuming that since he said the word "gent" that he MUST have been saying it with a British accent? Or maybe because he has been living in Europe for the better half of TWO DECADES he kinda picks up on the words that they use over there.....my mom lived in England for 3 years and the same thing happened, it's called linguistic environment...it's not an accent, it's just words....morons

Johhny Depp IS Capt.Jack Sparrow, there is no other. Disney better not mess this one up. In re to the comments about his "fake accent", at least post something that doesn't reflect what an idiot you are. You called him "an arogant jackasses", lol nice wording jackass. Also, to the one who says they "hate hollywood", then why are you even browsing on a movie site that will obviously be talking about actors, hollywood, and the industry? Yeah, that makes sense. Johnny is a loyal and facinating actor. Good for him to stand up for someone he cares about in the harsh entertainment industry. Wish there were more like him.

A person adapts easily to the environment that surrounds him. An average person picks up accents or words in about a year of staying in one place. Since Depp has been staying in England for years now its NORMAL that he's using some of their words and the accent. You don't have to be born in england to have an english accent idiots. You probably have never taken a vacation to earn you an accent loser.
