This whole Twilight phenomenon has me perplexed. While it's great that teenage girls have a movie for them to geek out over, the fact is that the main character is a terrible role model for young girls.
She is selfish, obsessive, manically depressed, manipulative and is seemingly only happy when a man is in control of her, or she's leading men on in order to get things she wants.
It's an awful message to send to an audience who, lets face it, isn't the sharpest group in the world. They see this shit and think it's deep when in reality it's shallow as a puddle and a flimsy excuse to stare at ripped "bad-boy" types. Awful, simply awful.

I heard the movie got shit reviews. This isn't good for Hollywood. This will probably give them the green light to put out more trash in the future.

Lies, ALL lies.
If you take into consideration inflation, Twilight isn't even a blip on the radar. So kiss my ass.

I read all this bs but no one says in these stupid box office reports that it was in 4k F'n theaters as opposed to dark knights 3k, post the facts on garbage movies like this who get horrible reviews.

Just out of curiousity why does this matter so much? As long as I enjoy a movie I don't care if it makes any money. It's just odd to see people getting so worked up about this.
OMG!!!11 Batman made more money!!!
And?....
Exactly....

Because, from what I'm hearing, the movie was horrible! Damn sure not worth the #3 spot for biggest opening weekend. This will probably open the door for Hollywood to produce even more horseshit that little dickhead tweens won't hesitate to watch.

I can't believe how many people get upset over a freakin movie and post on this site only to complain about it.
Posted By: Captain_America (Guest) on November 23, 2009 at 01:17 PM
