Apple.com has released a new Iron Man 2 poster, featuring Whiplash (Mickey Rourke). Iron Man 2 opens on May 7th, 2010 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara, Clark Gregg and Olivia Munn.

Something tells me that comes up at some point in the movie and Whiplash uses his whips to deflect/destroy whatever Iron Man sends his way.

I'm guessing this is an early movie costume... Iron Man shooting him with a rocket will cause him to get to Justin Hammer to get a better suit. My guess anyway..

1. He probably lacks a helmet or mask because the movie makers wanted to advertise Mickey Rourke. He wouldn't have his head blown off in a fight because he's not in a fight right now... he's in a movie poster. :)
2. As you can see by the clippings in the background, it's clearly implied that he's got a bit of an obsession with Iron Man/Tony Stark, so yeah, he's probably gonna look kinda messed up in the head.

It just looks like Randy the Ram dressed up in a stupid costume. Ugh, this could actually be worse than the first Iron Man. I didn't think that was possible.
