[Movies] Thor Grabs Spider-Man 4's Release Date!
Posted by Ashish on 01.07.2010

With director Sam Raimi announcing earlier this week that Spider-Man 4 may not make its May 5th, 2011 release date, Paramount has jumped in and announced that Thor will now open on May 6th, 2011. Thor was originally set to open on May 20th. One would assume that if Sony sticks with May 5th, 2011 for Spider-Man 4, that Thor would move back to May 20th.

It's worth noting that if Spider-Man 4 doesn't make the May 5th release date, it's a question when it will open as that summer's other high profile weekends are already full. Transformers 3 is set for July 4th weekend, the final Harry Potter movie will open two weeks later, and Captain America the weekend after that. Green Lantern is also set for that summer with a June 17th release.

Man, 2011 looks like a loaded summer for big summer movies. Very cool.

What's the matter, kid, did I insult your favorite comic book? Grow up.
