Creative differences the cause...

Reports from the Associated Press are saying that Stuart Townsend has left Kenneth Branagh's production of Thor due to creative differences. Townsend was to play Fandral, one of the Warriors Three. The report says that he has already been replaced by Joshua Dallas (The Descent: Part 2).

The change apparently happened last week, just before the start of shooting on Monday. Those with keen memories may remember that Townsend was also replaced at the last minute as Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. That didn't work out so well for him.

I heard he was replaced in LOTR because Jackson realized that Aragorn needed to be older.

Rumor has it he seemed too "delicate" to pull off being Aragorn. He couldn't ride a horse even. Viggo was brought in & the rest is history.
