[Movies] Platinum Dunes To Produce Monster Squad Remake
Posted by Larry Csonka on 03.19.2010
Don’t shoot the messenger…
It was reported last year that Rob Cohen was working to do a remake of the 1987 cult classic film, Monster Squad. Well, Deadline is reporting that Platinum Dunes (Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form) is going to produce the project. Platinum Dunes has previously produced The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street remakes. They are currently looking for a writer for the project. The original Monster Squad was written by Shane Black and Dekker, and followed a monster-lovin' group of kids who side with the Frankenstein monster and must do battle with Dracula, the Wolfman, the Mummy and the Gill-Man.

I have only two requests for this: a less effeminate Dracula, and that Wolfman continues to have nards.

Don't use the old Universal monsters. It was fine in the 80's when they'd show the old movies on tv all the time, but

Here is an Idea why not just make a sequal to the first film?

The big question here is: Will the remake's Wolfman have nards?

Why do people hate remakes so much? No one is forcing you to watch them. If you don't want to see it then don't watch it.
