The latest…
According to The Heat Vision Blog, Marvel has made an offer to Chris Evans to be Captain America. The report says that Evans did not screen test for the part, but did note his previous experience in the Fantastic Four films.
Evans will next be seen in The Losers and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

NO... how can you ever have a cross over? Johnny Storm and Steve Rogers are one man? That almost seems like a comic... this is crushing.

this movie has all the potential to be as good as F4:Silver Surfer, or even Ghost Rider!

Of all the candidates that have been recently listed (excluding Chris Pine), he would be okay. I can see it

Ugh, he's a terrible actor.

people will bitch about anything. Have you guys checked out the other people rumored for the part? Evans is by far the most talented actor of the bunch. Now for whatever reason Marvel has decided against an A-lister for the part, Evans is a good choice. I would have offered DiCaprio 30 mil for the role, but that is just me. I'd love to see DiCaprio, Downey Jr, and Norton all on screen together.

Still think it should be Josh Holloway. Nuff said.

So is he going to hold up an American Flag and say "Picture this, but everywhere!"

Chris Evans is the most "vanilla" actor in Hollywood. He brings nothing to any part he is apart of.

I due like Chris Evans but this is a real bad casting choice for Captian America. He was a good fit as Tourch and if he had to be other comicbook chacters he would have been a pretty good choice for Hawkeye or Iceman, but not Captian America. He's doesn't fit the part.
One of these four men should have been Cap.
Matt Damon
Chris Pine
Channing Tatum
Ryan Phillippe
Hopefully Marvel and company know what their doing.

Reynolds did it. Hannibal King, Wade Wilson, Hal Jordan, and eventually Wade/Deadpool again. And I like Evans. He has the build, the look, and the attitude. I'm really happy with this.

Excellent choice! If marvel wasn't going to get Bradgelina or Damon this guy is a great fit... Waaay better than the WB pretty boys that have been rumored. I thought he did very well nailing Jonny Storm, I trust he will make a solid Steve Rodgers!

For the idiots who have and will complain about a crossover use your fucking heads! It was reported months ago that fantastic four is being rebooted and in an interview Evens denied getting offered the role back.

Mark Valley was perfect except he's too old. Someone like him would be great.

Matt Damon Or Sam Worthington would be better choices,Chris is pretty sure but cant act...Capt America has to have screen presence and be believable,Chris will be remembered for being the Torch for awhile

No, because you only get to play a franchise superhero once and then people think of you as only that hero, or villain.

Uh, DiCaprio is a great actor, but he would be a terrible Steve Rogers. Just because someone's an A-lister doesn't mean they're good for the role.

yeah and a few weeks ago, jim halpert was the new cap.... may be that evans has the part but, will wait to hear from the studio. imo, would rather see say maybe jansen ackles, or even david borenaz, but i know he's not in thte mix..but in the end, will still see movie regardless.

He's miles above everyone else who's been rumoured.
