Will the board game get a big screen adaptation?
Deadline reports that DreamWorks has acquired the rights to the board game Monsterpocalypse. DreamWorks wants Tim Burton to direct the film, which he is considering. Burton is currently in Cannes, heading up the jury, and also has Frankenweenie and Dark Shadows coming up. Monsterpocalypse is a board game, played on a series of maps and revolves around two competing groups of monsters, the Alpha and the Hyper, battling to the death in a variety of cityscapes.
