[Gossip] Animal Rights Group Angry Over Chris Klein's DUI
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.16.2010
They're not happy he brought his dog along...
In addition the usual bad press due to being arrested for a DUI, Chris Klein is drawing fire from an animal rights group...because he had a pet on board with him.
The pro-animal group "In Defense of Animals" told TMZ, "By choosing to drive under the influence with his dog in the car, Chris not only put innocent drivers in danger, but broke a promise to be a protector and guardian to his pet."
Klein's blood alcohol level was 0.20, two and a half times the California legal limit of 0.08, when he was arrested behind the wheel on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles.

did he break a promise? I mean at some point did he take an oath to "to be a protector and guardian to his pet."

I feel a South Park Episode coming, man those animal rights people should think more carefully in what they write. There is a human being in the car too. I mean do they rank animals as more valued than humans, or is it equal on the playing field?

The man was driving drunk and they're worried because he brought his dog with him? What is their major malfunction?!

What. The. Hell.
I'm not saying people should die...but I'm not saying they shouldn't either.
I'd like to put my name in the hat to see who gets to punch these people in the face. The person who came up with that statement gets 2.

I'm a vegetarian and a subscriber to/follower of PETA. I also have common sense. "In Defense of Animals" should really start working on defending their brain cells. This type of animal rights campaigner does nothing but push the progress of our cause back by antagonising people with their stupidity. It's like they live in a different world to the rest of us. They infuriate me so much! Yes, it was irresponsible to take his dog in the car while drunk, but frankly, it was irresponsible to drive the car anyway!

"I'm a vegetarian and a subscriber to/follower of PETA"
The same organization that came up with "Sea Kittens"?
