[Gossip] UPDATEDx4: Lindsay Lohan Sentenced

Lindsay shows up for community service after being sentenced...

UPDATE 4: Lindsay Lohan arrived for the community service she was ordered to complete at the Downtown Women's Center in Los Angeles only a few hours after being sentenced.

She has to complete 480 hours of it. Here is a photo of her arriving below:



UPDATE 3: Despite the sentence, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office is saying that Lindsay Lohan has not received special treatment due to her celebrity status.

Carmen Trutanich explains: "Ms. Lohan isn't being cut any special deals. When our office got the case last week, it went through the ordinary channels, and the case was assigned to a regular deputy from our office. Everyone gets the same justice in our office, period. Our office has done our job. We will cooperate with the Sheriff's Department in whatever needs to occur regarding Ms. Lohan. I think Judge Sautner knew what she was doing. Judge Sautner evaluated the evidence and made a thoughtful and informed decision."

UPDATE 2: The L.A. County Probation Department thinks that Lindsay Lohan's problems stem from being a drug addict.

Lindsay's probation officer wrote the following on the probation report: "Substance abuse is the root of the defendant's problems." Judge Stephanie Sautner disagreed with this.

According to the probation report, Lindsay is taking the following drugs: Trazadone (for depression), Nexium (for heartburn), Yaz (birth control), Zoloft (anti-depressant), Doxycycline (antibiotic), Zyrtec (allergies) and Zythromax (antibiotic).

The same report also says Lindsay failed an alcohol test on February 8, 2011 approximately one month after she left the Betty Ford clinic. It goes on to add that police interviewed employees from many of the stops Lindsay made and it was said that she had been drinking.

UPDATE: Lindsay Lohan has released a statement saying she supports the decision made by the judge today to give her 120 days in jail -- the same sentence for her probation violation -- meaning she won't do any extra time for the theft. She also will serve her time at home via an electronic monitoring device, and only for 14 days.

"I am glad to be able to put this past me and move on with my life and my career. I support the judge's decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation. I have already started my community service at the Downtown Women's Center and thank everyone there for their warm welcome. I hope to be able to fulfill my obligation without any press attention. I think the media spotlight should be on issues such as homelessness and domestic violence instead of on me."

Lohan's attorney, Shawn Holley, added the following.

"Lindsay and I would both like to thank Judge Sautner and t he L.A. City Attorney's Office for their fair handling of this case."

ORIGINAL: Lindsay Lohan pled no contest to misdemeanor theft in court today. TMZ reports that Lindsay was not in court when Shawn Holly entered the plea for her.

Judge Stephanie Sautner said that she doesn't think Lindsay's problem is drug abuse, but that she is self-medicating to relieve those problems. Lindsay won't have to undergo drug abuse counseling and will not get additional time for the theft.

Lindsay will be required to serve 120 days for her probation violation, which she will do at home as expected. That will likely amount to 14 days. She must also complete psychological counseling and a shoplifters alternative class.
