UPDATE 2: Seal spoke with Tavis Smiley about the end of his marriage to Heidi Klum, saying that it will be handled civilly for their kids' benefit.
When asked how they can avoid the ugly break-ups that tend to happen among celebrity couples, Seal responded with, "We're just not those kind of people. What one has to do in this situation is to remain civil, to retain one's dignity, to be professional, and to understand that we are not the only people on this planetthat are going through this."
Seal's conversation with Tavis Smiley will air on January 27 on PBS.
UPDATE: Heidi Klum is reportedly divorcing Seal because of his temper.
Sources say there is no affair that is splitting up the couple, it's solely because of Seal's inability to control his anger. It's so bad that it's affecting the children.
A source said that it wasn't a sudden decision and "it was a long time in coming." Their careers also played a part, as Klum's an entrepreneur and also extremely rich, and that's created a distance between the two. Seal has a new album coming out and plans to launch an international tour.
The two are still living in the same house, but that won't last for long.
ORIGINAL: Heidi Klum & Seal have announced that on January 22nd, they had agreed to separate and end their marriage. The couple got married in 2005, and renewed their vows every year in front of friends and family. The couple have four children together: Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2. Rumors of divorce started back on January 15th after Klum turned up alone at the Golden Globe Awards. Here is the statement released by the couple...
"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."
