[TV] Alex Trebek May Be Retiring From Jeopardy Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.07.2012
He's got two years left...
Digital Spy reports that Alex Trebek is considering retiring from Jeopardy.
In an interview that aired yesterday on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Trebek (who is 71), said he was thinking of retiring in the next two years.
He said: "Yes, I have been thinking of retiring But I'm torn because I enjoy doing the show so much. A lot of people have been telling me, 'Alex, you've got to go for at least 30. You've just done 28. Now at least do two more'. So that has a nice ring to it. Put in your 30. And go help people."
Trebek had a snapped tendon in his leg last year while chasing a burglar.
Meanwhile, Anderson Cooper, Lewis Black and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were announced as contestants for Jeopardy's Power Players shows, which will air on the week of May 14.
