According to IGN, Lionsgate has officially named the second film in the Hunger Games franchise, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Also, Lionsgate spoke with the Huffington Post about Robert Pattinson joining the cast in the role of former tribute Finnick Odair. They issued the following statement…
"As with the first film, we won't be confirming, denying or commenting any casting rumors for this title. ... We will announce news wide when there is official casting news to announce."
Michael Arndt (I>Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine) will reportedly rewrite the script for director Francis Lawrence, and filming will begin in the fall. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth will reprise their roles as Katniss, Peeta and Gale, with Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, and Woody Harrelson also returning to their respective roles.
