[TV] MTV Developing Scream TV Series
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.04.2012

Get ready for Ghostface on the small screen. TV Line reports that MTV is developing a television series based on the Scream franchise. Former MTV execs Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley are heading up the project and are looking for a writer to take on the pilot.

No story details are known yet, nor is it known if any characters from the films would even be involved, including the Ghostface killer itself. It's also unclear what role, if any, Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven would have on the show. Williamson reportedly had a bad experience on Scream 4, with Scream 3 writer Ehren Kruger doing the final drafts of the film. Williamson is also busy with The Vampire Diaries and his new FOX serial killer show The Following.
