Just Jared reports that actor Kevin Zegers (Wrong Turn, Dawn of the Dead 2004) has joined the cast of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, the adaptation of Cassandra Clare's #1 New York Times bestselling young adult fantasy book.
Zegers will play the character Alec Lightwood, who is the brother to Isabelle (Jemima West). He'll join Lena Headey as Jocelyn Fray, Jared Harris as Hodge Starkweather, Godfrey Gao as Magnus Bane, Lily Collins as Clary Fray, Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland, Robert Sheehan as Simon Lewis, Kevin Durand as Emil Pangborn and Robert Maillet as Samuel Blackwell.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is set for an August 23, 2013 release date.
