Variety reports that Will Ferrell has joined the cast of The Internship, along with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. The film is being produced by 20th Century Fox and New Regency with Shawn Levy directing.
Vaughn and Wilson play old-school salesmen who become unemployed and passed by in the digital world, so they become interns at a major tech company. Ferrell will cameo as Wilson's brother-in-law, who sells home electronics and makes inappropriate comments about his attractive customers.
The three previously worked together in Wedding Crashers where Ferrell played mentor Chazz Reinhold in an uncredited cameo. He also had a cameo in 2004's Starsky & Hutch, which starred Wilson and Ben Stiller.
The Internship also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne, John Goodman, Dylan O'Brien, JoAnna Garcia, Eric Andre, Josh Brener, Tiya Sircar and Tobit Raphael. Levy's 21 Laps Entertainment banner will produce with Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Productions. Vaughn is also a writer on the film.
Ferrell can next be seen in Jay Roach's R-rated comedy The Campaign with Zach Galifianakis. The Warner Bros film opens August 10.
