[Gossip] Tom Cruise's Bride Search

What did Tom Cruise go through to find his third wife, Katie Holmes?
Vanity Fair recently published a detailed article regarding Tom Cruise and the Scientology church's search to help Tom Cruise find a wife.
The search was allegedly done through a comprehensive auditioning process. Some actresses who were already Scientologists were called int to audition for a new training film and then asked suck questions as
"What do you think of Tom Cruise?" Reps for Scientology deny such a process took place.
One actress that was selected was Nazanin Boniadi, an Iranian-born and London-raised actress and also Scientologist. She and Cruise apparently dated from a period of November 2004 to January 2005. In the audition process, Boniadi apparently revealed intimate details of her sex life and was asked to lose her braces, red highlights, and also dump her boyfriend. Boniadi signed a confidentiality agreement that if violated could get her to be labeled as a Suppressive Person (enemy of Scientology).
Orth went to new York where she met Cruise and signed another agreement. She started a relationship with Cruise but it apparently turned sour when Orth allegedly offended Scientology chief, David Miscavige. Boniadi was also put off by the intensity of Cruise and when he would say things like "I get more love from an extra than I get from you." And Boniadi was apparently only allowed use of money from a credit card issued to her through Tom Cruise's production company.
Cruise would apparently want little to do with Boniadi after she offended Miscavige. And Cruise would allegedly not break up with her in person. Vanity Fair says Boniadi was told, "Naz, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink," by a Scientologist official.
After Boniadi allegedly broke down and told a friend about the relationship with Cruise, the friend reported Boniadi to the church. Boniadi was reported to have been punished by doing humiliating labor work such as diging ditches and cleaning bathrooms and selling L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics on street corners. Boniadi and he rmother as a result are apparently no longer involved with Scientology. A rep for Scientology in response to the charges says, "The Church does not punish people, especially in [that] manner.")
The article also apparently goes into great detail about Holmes's relationship with Cruise and their pre-nuptial agreement. Also why the adopted children of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Bella and Connor, were estranged from their mother.
