IGN reports that the European premiere of Tim Burton's 3D film Frankenweenie will kick off the 56th annual London Film Festival.
There are also a series of categories for films this year, including Thrill, Cut, Laugh and Love to help average audiences decide what they want to see. The festival will also include screenings of Ben Affleck's Argo, Ben Wheatley's Sightseers and Hyde Park on Hudson, which stars Bill Murray as Franklin D Roosevelt. Finally, the festival will end with a showing of Great Expectations which stars Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter.
The festival runs from October 10 to 21 with tickets going on sale on September 24. You can find more details and the complete schedule here.
