[Movies] Douglas Urbanski Joins The Cast Of Robocop Remake

Manager Douglas Urbanski, who has clients including Gary Oldman and has executive produced films like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, has joined the cast of the Robocop remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The MGM film is based on the 1987 film of the same name.
The remake will star Joel Kinnaman as the title character and Oldman as the scientist who creates him. It will begin shooting in Toronto later this month. Urbanski will play the mayor of Detroit.
Urbanski previously played Harvard president Larry Summers in David Fincher's The Social Network. Like that role, the call for the Robocop part came out of nowhere at the request of director Jose Padilha. Before becoming manager, Urbanski was a theater producer with several Tony nominations.
Urbanski said: "I think every agent, every manager should do this to see what the other side is like. This way, they will never think a client is crazy when they get a call from the set with crazy demands."
