[TV] Ratings: The X Factor Loses To The Voice And America's Got Talent Posted by Joseph Lee on 09.13.2012
Not good...
Simon Cowell was right to be worried about The X Factor going up against The Voice. The show lost to the NBC competition by over three million viewers and was down 3.5 million from last year's premiere. It couldn't even beat America's Got Talent, falling behind by 1.5 million viewers. The finals of AGT were up by over two million from last year but down two million from last year.
Meanwhile, the series premiere of Guys With Kids lost a large chunk of its lead-in from Talent, but was still able to win the hour for NBC. Everything else was reruns except for CBS' Big Brother.
NBC won the night with 8.9 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households, followed by FOX (8.5 million, 5.2/8), CBS (6.1 million, 4.0/7), ABC (3 million, 2.1/4) and the CW (814,000, 0.5/1).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX won with a 3.3 rating, followed by NBC (2.7), CBS (1.5), ABC (0.9) and the CW (0.3).
