E! News reports that Mitt Romney wants Gene Hackman to play him in a film.
While appearing on ABC's Live! With Kelly and Michael, he said that Hackman was his "favorite actor".
Hackman retired after 2004's Welcome to Mooseport and doesn't plan to make a comeback. He is now 82, much older than the 65-year-old Romney. Hackman's other films include The French Connection, The Conversation, Superman, Superman II, Crimson Tide, No Way Out, Enemy of the State and The Royal Tenenbaums.
