What’s the status of the film?
- Jude Law recently spoke with Colider about the status of Sherlock Holmes 3. Here is what he had to say…
"No I don't yet. I mean there's certainly talk of it and I know there's a script being played around with, but Downey's a busy boy and I'm a busy boy so we'll see. But we want to [do another one]. We're a very happy team and we have a lot of fun and we also think there's still a lot of legs in the duo."
Downey Jr is currently working on Iron Man 3, while Law has several projects coming up, including computer animated movie Rise Of The Guardians and a Steven Soderbergh thriller called The Bitter Pill.
Sherlock Holmes made $524 million worldwide, from a budget of $90 million.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows made $543 million worldwide, from a budget of $125 million.
As a reminder, a studio recoups 55% of a film's grosses on average, meaning it needs to approximately double its budget to be profitable during its theatrical run.
