[TV] Max Thieriot Talks About Bates Motel
Posted by Joseph Lee on 09.18.2012

Shock Till You Drop reports that Max Thieriot (My Soul to Take, House at the End of the Street) has been cast as Norman Bates' brother Dylan in A&E's Bates Motel, a prequel to Psycho.

He said during a press junket today: "It kind of came up quick and out of the blue, but it's exciting. I'm leaving for Vancouver on the 24th to start that. There are a lot of great people attached to that."

The series includes Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates and Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates.

Thieriot continued: "I was kind of suprised, am I playing Norman Bates? Obviously, I'm not, I'm playing his brother, who they created. That, for me, is more exciting because the character is unknown and can do anything. There's a lot of room to play there. Alfred Hitchcock is amazing, his movies are pretty awesome. It's all pretty exciting to be a part of something like that."

The series will air sometime in 2013.
