[TV] More Episodes Ordered For Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Superhero Hype reports that Nickelodeon has ordered more episodes of their reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after it did well with its series premiere.

It premiered on Saturday and through the weekend earned 12 million viewers. It was the top telecast with kids 2-11 (6.2/2.1 million) and boys 6-11 (8.2/837,000) on broadcast and cable TV. It was also the number one kids program on basic cable with total viewers (3.9 million) for the week.

As a result, the network has ordered 26 more episodes, to be shown next year. The series stars Jason Biggs (Leonardo), Sean Astin (Raphael), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Mae Whitman (April O'Neil), Hoon Lee (Master Splinter) and Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder). It is premiering globally on Nickelodeon channels all over the world.
