[Gossip] Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes' Marriage Was Over Six Months Before They Divorced

The National Enquirer (via Radar Online) reports that the marriage of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes was over six months before she filed for divorce, according to leaked court papers.
In documents dated August 17, 2012 (Signed by New York State Supreme Court Judge Matthew F. Cooper) gives details on the divorce, including the couple's custody agreement with 6-year-old Suri.
The "marital relationship" had "broken down irretrievably for a period of at least six months immediately preceding."
The two were married in Italy in 2006. However, the documents say they were officially married "in a civil ceremony" in Los Angeles on November 11, 2006. A prenuptial agreement was acknowledged and signed by Holmes months earlier.
Cruise was ordered to pay $400,000 a year to cover Suri's "medical, dental, insurance, unreimbursed medical and dental, education, college, extracurricular and camp expenses." The payments are expected to run Cruise $4.8 million dollars total, a drop in the bucket considering his worth of an estimated $250 million. He only has to pay child support until Suri turns 18. If he ever were to skip a payment, he would have a jail sentence "for a term not to exceed six months."
