According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lee Daniels (Precious, The Paperboy) is in talks to direct the Janis Joplin biopic Get it While You Can. Joplin of course was an iconic young singer-songwriter of the 1960's, had her life tragically cut short at age 27 due to a heroin overdose. "Get it While You Can" was one of three hit singles the following year, alongside "Cry Baby" and "Me and Bobby McGee". Amy Adams is attached to play the title role.
