[TV] Ratings: The Voice Defeats The X Factor Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.08.2012
While ratings rise for most networks...
Ratings were up all around last night since the majority of East Coast residents who lost power because of Hurricane Sandy have it back. The only exception was FOX, which had The X Factor lose viewers against a Wednesday episode of The Voice on NBC. Thanks to The Voice, Chicago Fire also had its biggest audience so far. Modern Family, Criminal Minds and Arrow were all up while Nashville saw an increase in both viewers and the demographic.
CBS won with 10.9 million viewers and a 7.0 rating/11 share in households. It was followed by NBC (9.3 million, 5.7/9), ABC (8 million, 5.0/8), FOX (7 million, 4.1/6) and The CW (3 million, 1.8/3).
In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC won with a 3.2 rating, followed by ABC (2.8), CBS (2.7), FOX (2.6) and The CW (1.1).
