[Gossip] Lindsay Lohan's Assistant Says He Didn't Rat Lindsay Out Regarding Car Accident

Lindsay Lohan's assistant claims that he didn't tell police that Lindsay was driving during her accident in California this summer. TMZ reports that the assistant, named Gavin, says that when cops questioned him at the hospital where Lindsay was taken to he neither confirmed nor denied whether Lindsay had been driving the car.
As previously reported, Lindsay was accused of being behind the wheel for the accident, which she denied to the police. She is expected to be charged with the crime and faces potential jail time due to parole violation. Gavin says that the police told him that they knew Lindsay had been driving because of the seat belt marks on her shoulder, to which he simply gave a noncommittal "Okay." The police are considering that a confirmation, and used it to push the Santa Monica City Attorney to file charges.
Gavin is said to be furious with the police and will refuse to cooperate with the investigation; he's also willing to help Lindsay however he can. The Santa Monica Police Department had no comment.
