[Movies] Sylvester Stallone Joins Indie Film Reach Me
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.13.2012

Variety reports that Sylvester Stallone has joined the cast of Reach Me, a new indie drama written and directed by John Herzfeld. The two starred together in Cobra.

Stallone finished several days on the set, which stars Nelly, Omari Hardwick, Elizabeth Henstridge, Danny Aiello and Rebekah Chaney (who is producing alongside Herzfeld).

The film focuses on "a group of people who all have a connection to a self-help book authored by a reclusive former football coach." Stallone's role hasn't been revealed.

Herzfeld previously wrote and directed 15 Minutes (which starred Robert De Niro) and 2 Days in the Valley (which starred Charlize Theron). He most recently directed The Death and Life of Bobby Z, which was another indie film that starred Paul Walker, Laurence Fishburne and Olivia Wilde.

Stallone was most recently in The Expendables 2, which he co-wrote. He can next be seen in Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head and Summit's The Tomb, in which he'll team with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He will also star with Robert De Niro in the boxing film Grudge Match.
