[TV] Brandon T. Jackson Set to Star in Beverly Hills Cop TV Series

Deadline confirmed that actor Brandon T. Jackson has signed on to play the role of Aaron Foley, son of Axel Foley, for the Beverly Hills Cop TV series.
The show is being designed as a sequel to the original film trilogy. Eddie Murphy is set to executive produce the show with Shawn Ryan for Sony TV. Ryan is finalizing the script which will follow Jackson's Aaron Foley trying to make a name for himself in the Beverly Hills Police Department and try and step out of the shadow of his father Axel. Axel Foley is now the Chief of Police in Detroit.
Murphy will reprise his role of Axel for the pilot and possibly recur in the series. Murphy is reportedly a fan of Jackson's stand-up comedy and suggested him for the role.
