[Movies] Bryan Singer Reveals What Kind Of Costume The X-Men Will Wear In Days Of Future Past Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.15.2012
Yellow spandex or leather suits?
Superhero Hype reports that Bryan Singer has provided fans with an update of the costumes that the titular mutants will wear in his sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. In 2000, there was a mixed reaction to the leather costumes replacing the ones from the comics. At one point, Cyclops (James Marsden) says to Wolverine (Hugh Jackman): "What would you prefer? Yellow spandex?"
Singer wrote on Twitter: "For those of you wondering...no leather suits. #xmen"
The film will be released on July 17, 2014. The script was written by Simon Kinberg and is inspired by Chris Claremont and John Byrne's comic story that ran from #141 to 142 in 1981.
Here's a synopsis: "Days of Future Past" introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.
Singer, with Matthew Vaughn, produced last year's X-Men: First Class, which was set in the 1960s and had uniforms in line with the colorful designs of the past.
