[TV] Eddie Izzard to Guest Star on Hannibal
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.15.2012

Grandpa Munster is headed to jail. EW reports that Eddie Izzard, who played the vampiric grandfather on the almost-series Mockingbird Lane, is teaming back up with showrunner Brian Fuller for Hannibal. Izzard will play a cellmate of Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) in the upcoming series.

The show will premiere early next year and stars Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford. It is set before the events of Red Dragon (or Manhunter) and has Graham teaming up with Lecter to catch serial killers, unaware that the man he's working with is one himself.
