Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.15.2012

American Horror Story has been renewed for a third season. The network officially announced today that the show will be back next year for a another thirteen-episode run and that Jessica Lange, who has appeared in both seasons, will return.

The current season, titled American Horror Story: Asylum, is finishing up on January 23rd; the new season begins production in the summer and will premiere in the fall. As with last season, the story and setting will be switched up for the third season; the first season was set in a haunted house in Los Angeles during the present day while the current season is set in a Northeast US asylum in the 1960s.
