[Movies] X-Men: First Class Writer Attached to New Pinnochio Project

A retelling for Warner Bros...
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that X-Men: First Class writer Jane Goldman is going to script the live-action retelling of Pinocchio for Warner Bros.
The studio hopes to team director Tim Burton and actor Robert Downey Jr. on the proeject. There are currently no deals in place yet for Burton or Downey. Reportedly, "Goldman's hiring is meant to bring the courtship to a close and initiate commitments as she will be incorporating Downey's notes."
Bryan Fuller wrote a previous draft of the script. The casting would have Downey playing Geppetto, the woodcarver and father of Pinocchio.
